Pet foods company lays off 43
Pied Piper Pet and Wildlife, Inc., in Hamlin, a manufacturer of private-label pet foods, has laid off about one-fourth of its employees, according to Workforce Solutions of West Central Texas.Mary Ross, executive director of Workforce Solutions in Abilene, said 113 employees remain at the company after the layoffs of 43 people. She said the layoffs may be temporary.
